Hi [First Name],

The winter 2018 arts integration and STEAM online conference is just a few weeks away – we’re so excited you’re joining us!

We want to help make your conference experience a smooth and easy experience. So we have a few things for you to do before the big day on February 3, 2018.

OFFICIAL CONFERENCE SCHEDULE

You can download the official conference schedule here.  Please use it to plan out your day.  This is also helpful if you plan to watch the conference on-demand so you can easily find the sessions you’re interested in most.

VIDEO TUTORIALS
Want to make sure you’re comfortable with logging in, accessing everything and getting your PD certificate?  Then definitely check out the short video tutorials we’ve created.  These will walk you through everything step-by-step.

FACEBOOK GROUP

One of the *best* ways to feel connected at this online conference is through our private Facebook group.  Simply request access and jump in to meet other attendees, share “ah-has” and ask questions before, during and after the event.

MAKERSPACE GRANTS

We’re changing up the grants this time!  Our wonderful friends at Pacon are fully-funding 3 makerspaces with up to $1600 of their products.  Have an idea for a makerspace or STEAM project and need supplies to make it happen?  Here’s how:

1. Write a 2-3 paragraph proposal about your idea.  Share how you plan to use this space or project in your school, what standards it’s connected to, and what the end goal is for the makerspace or project idea.  This should be in .docx or .pdf format.

2. Look through the Pacon catalog here and create a list of products (include their sku numbers and pricing) that are needed to create this dream makerspace or AI/STEAM project.  Your list can total up to $1600 worth of products.

3. Submit BOTH your proposal and your list of products HERE no later than January 26, 2018.  We’ll announce the three winners in an email during the conference day event.

GRADUATE CREDIT

If you’re interested in getting graduate credit for the conference, you can register for that here through CSUSM.  Price is $99 + $12 transcript fee.

You’ll need to submit your implementation plan by February 9 to Brianne Gidcumb at [email protected] Here is the rubric that is used to score these plans.

CONFERENCE LOGIN DETAILS

Just in case you’re wondering, you’ll be receiving an email on Friday, February 2nd at 1PM ET with all the login information you’ll need for the live-day conference event.  Your on-demand access will be emailed to you separately on that Friday as well.

Looking forward to “seeing” you soon!

Best,
Susan Riley
