LIVE CONFERENCE LOGIN
Logging into the LIVE conference platform is extremely simple.  Just click the link below and enter the email address you used to register (the one where you’ve received this email). YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ENTER THE PLATFORM UNTIL 9:45AM ET TOMORROW. When the conference goes live at 10AM ET on February 3, you will see video presentations begin.  If you try to login prior to this time, you will see the screen but no sessions will be active.LOGIN LINK: http://events.commpartners.com/webcasts/edcl20180203/Starting at 9:45AM ET on February 3, when you click that link, you’ll be able to enter your email address and immediately view the conference.  We will begin at 10AM ET.

OTHER LOGIN FAQS

You may login via desktop, laptop, phone or tablet and there is no need to install any software.  CHECK YOUR CONNECTION!  You’ll want a high speed/broadband connection if at all possible.  The conference will work on a mobile device, but the best viewing experience will be on a high speed connection.

 

WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING A PERSONAL DEVICE (desktop computer, laptop, tablet, etc) and not a school-issued device if possible.  Some school-issued devices have security blocks that may prevent you from viewing the live event or on-demand website videos.

CONFERENCE SCHEDULE
Be sure to download and reference your conference schedule so that you know what sessions are coming up at what time.  PLEASE BE AWARE OF TIMEZONES!  We will begin at 10AM ET (9AM CT, 7AM PT).

ON-DEMAND SITE ACCESS
You will receive On-Demand access in a separate email later on this afternoon.  Be on the lookout for an email with the subject line “Conference On-Demand Access Information”

PD CERTIFICATE AND GRAD CREDIT
If you are attending live with us, please be sure to wait until the conference is over and then click on the link on the screen telling you to download your PD certificate.  That link will appear on your screen around 4PM.  When you click on it, you’ll find a PD certificate of 10 hours with your name on it which you can then either right-click and save to your computer, or print directly from that screen.

If you are viewing the conference on-demand at another time, you’ll find the instructions for obtaining your PD certificate through the PD Certificate Tab on the site menu.

IF YOU REGISTERED FOR GRADUATE CREDIT:

Upon completion of the conference (live or on-demand), please send a written 2-3 page implementation plan to Brianne Gidcumb at [email protected] no later than February 9.  Please explain how you intend to use what you’ve learned at the conference directly in your classroom.

Once received, Brianne will submit your final grade into the CSUSM system and then will send you a transcript at the close of their semester term.

1. How do I access the conference?

Please use the links provided above no more than 15 minutes prior to the start of the conference on February 3, 2018 at 10AM ET.  If you don’t see the conference screen, try a little bit closer to 10AM ET (9AM CT or 7AM PT)

 

 

2. What if I can’t watch the entire conference live?

That’s okay!  The on-demand link you’ll receive this afternoon provides you with access to anything you might miss.  Even if you have to leave and come back later, you can still go to the on-demand site and see any presentation or download any handout missed while you were away.  This is available with lifetime access, so there is plenty of time for you to see everything.

 

 

3. How can I make this a great experience?

We highly encourage you to participate!  You’ll be able to click on the chat tab in the platform and chat directly with our presenters and other participants.  Engaging in these conversations is a powerful way to truly get the entire conference experience.  We also recommend that you participate in the fun “brain breaks” and take advantage of being able to get up, walk around and grab a drink/snack whenever you need to.  

 

 

4. What if I have technical issues?

If possible, try to ensure that you are using a high-speed internet connection.  If you are still having issues, please try the following steps:

 

• Refresh your page
• Try a different browser (we really like Google Chrome or Firefox)
• Restart your computer or try a different device

In the unlikely event that none of the above steps work for you, please don’t stress.  That is why we have the on-demand site!  You can find each session right there so that you can follow along with everyone else and try again to access the live event in a few minutes.
